Walkthrough of this work:

Technical Info:
Photoshop CS5 and CS6
Wacom Intuos 4
More than 170 levels
2-3 hours for sketching and cleaning the lines + 7-8 hours for coloring

WORK DONE BEFORE THE WORKSHOP
1-Fast sketch of the characters and their clothes (around 20 min.)

2-Clean line art. Adding details to the clothes and to the characters (2-3 hrs)

3-Background: quite quick, but effective. I first decided the colors I wanted to use, then drew the clouds (I used `yuumei 's cloud brushes yuumei.deviantart.com/art/Clou…. The shape of the buildings in the background was done using a photo reference and I just applied a gradient to the shape, and detailed it a bit. The sea is done reflecting the upper image and applying some filters to make it "wavy". (around 1 hour)

FIRST DAY OF WORKSHOP
4-I gave all  the basic tones to the characters and the clothes. (1 hour)
When I was home I started coloring the faces and so parts of the clothes, and I applied the textures (1:30 hour)

SECOND DAY OF WORKSHOP
5-I worked on the clothes and the shades on the bodies. I decided where to put secondary lights and what color they where.
I also worked more on the faces and painted the hair. (3 hrs)

THIRD DAY OF WORKSHOP
6-I painted the masks and went back on the shades. I worked on some details I had left behind (Pascal's gloves, Alen's mouth, the cameos -the finished work actually showed the stone on Alen's jabot finished- and more...) (1 hour)

WORK DONE AFTER THE WORKSHOP
7-Finished the last details, I played with the levels: I added some shades on multiply and lights on screen. I blurred some edges, applied textures and the floating... flying.. things on the foreground. I regulated some tones and made some slight changes in the color scheme. (around 1 hour)
And.. that's it!

Waaah che belli Eren! Pascal  (bel nome XD) tenebroso, molto cool. Alen adorabile, mi piace molto l'impatto che fa e soprattutto il fatto che Pascal regga la maschera!!
Bellissimi e bellissimo background *O* (voglio salire sulle gondole...)
